Here at the Adaptive Therapist, we specialize in training therapists to enhance their skills by building the skills of adaptability. A true tenet of a social worker is the ability to continuously scan the environment to understand what systems are working and what systems are broken. With that skill the Adaptive Therapist teaches other therapists how to identify what is working in their own environments to enhance those things, and see what is NOT working to then fix those things and ADAPT.
What does that even mean?
It means this:
You realize you’re not connecting with a client so you figure out what the block is by implementing an “inner scan” and figuring out if its you or if it is the client.
You get good at picking the right clients that align with the work you value by utilizing the “ideal client framework.” This makes you a better therapist as your skills are being utilized on those that are ready for you.
You sign up for a consultation group to improve your skills as a talk therapist and an EMDR therapist.
The adaptive therapist specializes in four things
- Teaching therapists to attract the right clients.
- Consultation for therapists working with Military connected clients.
- EMDR consultation for therapists needing their initial 10 hours after basic training, therapists seeking EMDR Certification, and 5 hours of consultation for therapists seeking to be consultants or CIT’s. The two consultation groups are:
- Basic and Certification track – Military connected clients
- CIT – Military connected therapists, EMDR for C-PTSD therapists.
- Consultation for Integrated Behavioral Health consultants working with active duty military.
We provide individual consultation as well for therapists wanting to hone their skills and that want that 1 on 1 experience.
